We are so proud to announce that Encore Environment has been awarded B Corp Certification achieving a high score! This certification, that we have been working to obtain for over 12 months, is verification that we meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and legal accountability.
B Corp is known as one of the highest sustainability certifications that businesses can achieve!
We join a global movement of like-minded businesses that are using business as a force for good in the world and considers people, planet and profit.
Rachel Rowley, managing director at Encore Environment said: “We are thrilled! This is a significant milestone for Encore and our ESG journey. Our aim has always been to build a successful sustainable business with ethical business practices that creates positive environmental and social impact. With B Corp certification, it demonstrates our commitment to putting sustainability at the heart of our business and also our continued efforts to integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into every area of our operations.”
The B Corp process is rigourous and includes the B Impact Assessment which evaluates the practices and outputs in five categories across the business. These are governance, workers, community, the environment and customers.

A company must achieve a minimum of 80 points in the B Impact Assessment to become B Corp Certified, so we are delighted to have achieved 123.8! It doesn’t end there, we will continue our mission to support B Corp and maintain our certification, with the recertification process which happens every three years. This is to ensure Encore continues to meet B Corp’s standards. In the intervening years an impact report is required to update on our progress and show that we continue to be accountable and transparent in our impact.
