We are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted in the prestigious Construction News Specialists Awards 2022! Our entry, highlighting the impressive and important work Project DIVERT does to reduce construction waste and help local communities, has been shortlisted in the Innovation of the Year (Non-Contractor) category.
The winners will be announced on Thursday 22nd September at a special awards ceremony at The Brewery, London.
The Construction News Specialists Awards, now in its 18th year, are the only national awards recognising the outstanding achievements of specialist contractors, highlighting the inspirational businesses and work found across the industry. Entries are all judged by an independent panel of 60+ major contractors and industry figures, who ensure integrity and rigour in the awards process.
Now we have been shortlisted, we move on to the next stage of the awards which is to attend a face-to-face presentation and Q&A with the judges before their final decisions are made!
Rachel Rowley, Encore Environment’s managing director is thrilled!
“I am so proud of what ProjectDIVERT is achieving and also the recognition it is getting on a national scale! Every year it is developing and growing, so much so we now have over 1600 charities and social enterprises on our database! Our clients that use ProjectDIVERT to divert construction waste from traditional disposal routes to organisations in need, are incredibly pleased with the social value outcomes and importantly, the data reporting they receive which covers waste cost savings and carbon savings!”
“We are really hoping to stand out to the judges, however, to be shortlisted for such a high-profile award is already an amazing recognition that really reinforces and strengthens our purpose to influence environmental and sustainability best practice and create opportunities for social value! Thank you to the Encore team, you really are the best at what you do, and here we are again – up there with some of the largest specialists and suppliers to the construction sector in the UK!”
Project DIVERT has been developed to help create a more sustainable world and to transform lives. This is at the core of Encore Environment’s motivation. How we choose to manage waste now, will influence how we live in generations to come.
Thank you to all our clients for your continued support and wish us luck!
