Lisa Lawson Storer

Encore Environment Appoints Head of Operations and Commercial Lead

We are excited to announce that Lisa Lawson-Storer has joined Encore Environment as Head of Operations and Commercial Lead, bringing years of operations experience, construction project management expertise and proven delivery to the company. Lisa will be a key part of Encore’s growth plans, focusing on resource efficiency and improving business processes and platforms. Working alongside Gavin Pilcher, operations director, Lisa will head up the operations team working from Encore’s head office in Sywell, Northamptonshire.

Encore Environment has strengthened its operations team to drive the company’s continued growth by ensuring its client base has dependable access to the most effective waste management resources with strategic support, customised environmental strategies, and invaluable project statistics including carbon data. As the construction industry faces a challenging economic period, this appointment has been particularly important to support those companies that are recovering from the impact of the pandemic and shouting out for proactive waste management that are flexible, can overcome challenges and bring real value to the table.

Lisa comes armed with both technical and operations expertise, with over 30 years’ experience in customer focused businesses, managing large retail operations, business transformation, training workshops and digital platform development, and more recently within the construction fit out sector. Lisa is also well known to Rachel Rowley, Encore Environment’s MD, as they worked together 25 years ago!

“We are delighted to have Lisa join the team!” said Rachel Rowley.  “Encore has created a niche, agile, value add proposition which has generated huge successes in the industry, especially following COP26. As the business and our client base has continued to grow; strategically, this appointment is the natural step in supporting that expansion. As a business, we are focused on resource efficiency so Lisa will be reviewing all business processes and ordering platforms to ensure our processes are sustainable, eliminating any problems and finding new opportunities. I’m so excited to have Lisa on board, lots of fun memories and many more to be made!”

Lisa said: “Coming from a construction fit out project management role, I’m very impressed with Encore’s ethos to challenge the traditional methods of waste disposal, which unfortunately for many, is a ‘waste in skips’ versus ‘cost’ problem. In particular, the development of Project DIVERT, MATexch, Waste Wise Kids and the Enviro Game Changers Network, which are all unique initiatives, are driving better ‘top-level’ decision making and offering clients a different perspective with quantifiable solutions on how to reduce waste, reduce carbon and make social and environmental improvements. I believe I can offer real value here and I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead working with a forward-thinking organisation.”
