Encore Environment joins UKGBC to support sustainability in the built environment

The team at Encore Environment is proud to announce their membership of the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC), a charity uniting the UK building industry with a goal to positively transform the built environment using sustainability as a catalyst for change.

Since 2007, UKGBC has brought together over 500 member organisations from across the sector to collaborate, enable, advocate and inspire a common goal to radically improve the sustainability of the built environment. As a membership network, Encore joins a unified voice of the industry’s leaders who are striving to realise meaningful transformation and encourage collective action to address the climate crisis.

Rachel Rowley, managing director at Encore Environment said: “We are excited to be part of UK Green Building Council. We join a powerful network of like-minded organisations contributing to and supporting sustainability in the built environment and look forward to sharing our expertise in the circular economy and social values.”

“Both our ProjectDIVERT online platform – which calculates carbon savings while utilising the latest technology to divert reusable waste from construction sites to organisations in need – and our non-profit organisation, Waste Wise Kids, which champions environmental education in primary schools, have been developed to deliver a more sustainable world and to transform lives. This membership gives us the opportunity to learn, to share and influence positive social and environmental change across the sector in which we work.”

UKGBC is part of the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC) network, a global network of over 70 national Green Building Councils transforming the places we live, work, play, heal and learn.
