ISO 14001 certification reassessment success

We are very pleased to announce that we have successfully passed our recent ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems (EMS) reassessment, which is conducted on an annual basis as a third-party audit.

This is a fundamental accreditation for our business to demonstrate that our processes and procedures continue to meet the strict requirements of the International standard. This includes involvement and accountability of top management, complying with national and international environmental law, preventing pollution or having a negative environmental impact, developing and implementing effective environmental controls in line with global standards and developing environmental solutions for the business.

It is also an integral part of our Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) policy which is being developed as part of our 5-year business strategy. Wider benefits of gaining ISO 14001 certification includes waste reduction, improved resource efficiency, lowering costs and improved productivity.

Rachel Rowley, managing director at Encore Environment said; “There is an increasing focus on the environmental credentials of a businesses and a definite shift in decision making processes to consider ESG commitments as well as cost and service. By gaining certification to ISO 14001, we provide our clients with an international level of assurance that our environmental processes and procedures are verified and certified by independent auditors. Essentially, we practise what we preach!”

Congratulations to the team!

Encore Environment has held ISO 14001:2015 certification since 2018.
