We are dedicated to connecting corporate business and their local community to help minimise waste. Using ProjectDIVERT, we identify items from construction projects such as floor tiles, furniture, paving slabs and fixtures and fittings, to name a few, so they can be reused, repurposed and re-loved by organisations in need!
ProjectDIVERT is our amazing app which facilitates the donation of unwanted items from refurbishment construction projects to organisations that can reuse or repurpose them. This actively reduces the amount of waste going to landfill and helps protect the environment.
Many construction projects fit-out and refurbish hotels, old office buildings, theatres and housing blocks for example, but what happens to all the unwanted materials? Often, these items are put into a mixed-use skip destined for a materials recycling facility or worse, landfill. We want to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill, so we make sure that all waste items that can be reused are identified early in the design stage of the project. As a result, when the items are removed from site, they are not broken or mixed in with other waste and are ready to be rehomed.
If u are a school, charity, community group, or social
enterprise, and would be interested in receiving surplus items that could bring a new lease of life to your organisation, you can register your interest here, stating your organisation name(and where applicable) charity number as well as your location. We will do the rest.
ProjectDIVERT is really smart and can pinpoint which community groups are close to the site with surplus items to donate. This ensures that we are also keeping transportation costs, and importantly, carbon down when we rehome items. We take care of the logistics, so don’t worry about transportation, we’ll get it to you. And… everything you receive is donated with love. This is about helping the environment and social value, not making money.
We have some fantastic case studies from homeless shelters, hospices, libraries and schools and colleges that have all benefitted from being on our ProjectDIVERT community database. Take a look.
