ProjectDIVERT New Homes Applicances

ProjectDIVERT new homes for appliances

The Client

Interserve Paragon is an interior fit-out and refurbishment contractor that not only strives to deliver solutions to its clients that are bespoke and add value, but also places sustainability at the heart of each project.

The Challenge

Our client had been working on a technical fit-out project in Frimley. Upon completion, new appliances used in the onsite set up kitchen area were no longer required. The majority of these were WEEE, which can be a challenge and costly to dispose of. However, these items can be diverted which reduces cost and carbon.

The Solution

Using the unique database of charities, businesses and recyclers, and by utilising Encore Environment’s award winning ProjectDIVERT web-based app, we reached out to The Hope Hub – a charity based in Camberley, who were very grateful for the items.

The Results

The Hope Hub is a registered charity working to prevent homelessness in Surrey and surrounding areas. Encore were able to assist The Hope Hub by diverting these appliances to their clients who were moving into new accommodation. This also resulted in our client saving £310 as they avoided the traditional waste route.
