who we are

We are environmental experts challenging conventional methods of waste disposal. We provide total waste management and strategic support to improve your corporate social responsibility and sustainability performance. We advise and support you to ensure you fulfil all your obligations under BREEAM. We coordinate and manage waste reduction via a national supply chain of specialist recycling facilities and, wherever possible, we aim to reuse. Our approach is fully aligned with the industry Waste Hierarchy staged process of how waste should be managed.

Encore not only coordinate the daily waste service, UK- wide, nationally and report the specific waste streams, it provides our clients with closed loop opportunities, identifying materials that can be innovatively reprocessed, remanufactured or recycled back into the supply chain.

By deploying services to multiple sites simultaneously, our clients have one person to deal with (and one call to make) for all service requirements; they receive good quality management information and reporting and, as we upload all relevant documents, they have full access to their project waste information whenever they need it.

Whatever the service from skips, to bins, cages, compactors, WEEE, Hazardous Waste and other specialist disposal we arrange and co-ordinate them all. We are experts with complex onsite logistics and being London waste specialist we excel in the difficulties with space for onsite segregation and challenging site access.

Encore’s team is experienced within the BREEAM, SKA, Code for Sustainable Homes and BRE: SMARTWaste arena and are actively working with our clients to ensure maximum points are obtained for a much-improved Environmental building.

Whether a BREEAM project or not all our reporting is BREEAM compliant.

Encore takes its obligations requiring adherence to a standard of reasonable care, to any of its supply chain while performing any acts that could foreseeably harm others, seriously. Stringent physical audits of our Tier 1 supply chain in addition to detailed checks for EA compliance ensure high standards of conformity.

It is important to us, our clients, their customers and to the environment that Duty of Care for Waste Management is managed legally, to the environmental agency standard and in the compliance with the Waste Hierarchy. We ensure our supply chain is compliant in such areas as FORS, CLOCS, ISO 9901, ISO 14001 and Safe Contractor.

The need for exemplary service is a given, however our supply chain audits give piece of mind to our Corporate clients with regards to legislation, service and delivery. There are strict rules set out by the Environmental Agency and the correct process of managing the waste, from the producer, to the carrier and through to the end destination.

With waste crime costing the UK over £660m a year and waste being headlined as ‘The new narcotics’ by The Guardian, full transparency from project to the end destination is vital. Encore ensure on behalf of their clients that compliance is achieved across the entire supply chain.
