Waste Wise Kids Crafternoons

Waste Wise Kids ‘Crafternoons’ are here to help!

The Waste Wise Kids team are busy developing lots of fun and exciting activities to reuse and repurpose items, while we stay safe at home!

CrafternoonsWaste Wise Kids normally go into primary schools to educate young children aged 4-12 about waste, recycling and sustainability. As schools are now closed, we will provide you with some great repurposing ideas to keep your children entertained and learning about the environment!

Repurposing items is so much fun, and it develops children’s creative thinking, problem solving and critical thinking skills.

It’s a great opportunity to talk to our children about different waste types and where it could end up if it’s not managed correctly. At Waste Wise Kids, we promote a behavioural change to stop, think and act using the ‘reduce, reuse, repurpose, recycle’ waste hierarchy approach. As a result, we hope that children build a life-long skill which will have a positive impact on the environment’s future – get your kids involved!!

Crafternoons with Waste Wise KidsWe are excited to have launched this new Waste Wise Kids website, which has a dedicated WWKids Club, so you can access loads of ideas for your Waste Wise Kids Crafternoons at home, for free!
