Encore Environment is proud to be accredited by the Good Business Charter in recognition of our responsible business practices!
It recognises, champions and encourages responsible business behaviour for the benefit of people and planet. Accredited organisations include FTSE100 companies, partnerships, local authorities, universities, SMEs, charities and sole traders and each organisation has to meet all 10 commitments to receive GBC Accreditation. The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) partnered with The Good Business Foundation to adapt the Good Business Charter accreditation and make it accessible for small businesses with less than 50 employees. This streamlined version of the GBC allows smaller firms to stand out from the crowd and lead the way on a range of important issues, from ethical employment practices to prompt payments.
These 10 key components are: real living wage, fairer hours and contracts, employee well-being, employee representation, diversity and inclusion, environmental responsibility, paying fair tax, commitment to customers, ethical sourcing, and prompt payment.
Rachel Rowley said “Social values and sustainability are at the heart of our business and run through out our services and internal processes. We are delighted to have gained Good Business Charter accreditation which recognises our work in reducing the impact we have on the environment, our people and our community.”
