We are so proud to have won the Inspiring Change in Education Award 2023 (SME) for Waste Wise Kids at the Inspiring Change Conference and Awards held in London! The conference and awards promote fairness, inclusion and respect by highlighting inclusive workplace culture and showcasing best practice and innovation by organisations across the UK construction and built environment sector.
Rachel Rowley, founder of Waste Wise Kids and MD at Encore Environment was presented with the award and said: “It was an extremely insightful day. It was inspiring to learn the focus, direction, thoughts, and initiatives around the environment, culture and values from larger businesses with 1000’s of employees. I’ve come away with some great ideas of what we can implement in our organisation and how to introduce them to our business processes and strategy. I would like to thank the Supply Chain Sustainability School and the Fairness, Inclusion & Respect Programme for their invite and well run conference. As a Social Enterprise we are very proud this award – our first award for the Waste Wise Kids environmental education programme for primary schools!”
